Flink Community Health Initiative (CHI)
Apache Flink is a huge project with multiple contributions a day. With a limited set of committers, progress on reviewing and merging these contributions can be slow. So I have join an initiative to help out.
The Community Health Initiative (CHI) was started by David Radley of IBM as a way of helping out the committers. The idea is to regularly review new PRs and triage the ones that were simple (eg docs typos, dependency bumps) and those that had already been reviewed, passed CI and were ready for a committer to review.
There will be a video meeting each week on a Thursday at alternating times (early UTC and late UTC), see the CHI wiki for details and we hope to see you there!
As well as reviewing PRs we are also going to look at ways to enhance the CI to fix common issues (like not running mvn spotless
) and to close very old PRs.
